janetJanet Mwamburi, Executive Director of Education
Janet is a Bachelor of Science Graduate from the University of Alberta: Augustana Faculty, a massage therapy graduate of Northern Institute of Massage Therapy and PCMT’s sister school, Alberta College of Massage Therapy. Janet has attained training in Osteoarticular Techniques; Myofascial Remodeling; Visceral Manipulation; Low Intensity Laser Therapy; Pregnancy Massage and Therapeutic Ball Release. She has also completed the Instructor Development Program and is certified in Basic American Sign Language. Janet became an instructor in 2012 and completed two NACC Instructor Development Programs. Janet feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to encourage RMTs-in-training as they pursue their dreams of helping others into health and wellness. If you asked Janet what the greatest highlight of her role is, she would say “Nothing excites me more than listening to budding practitioners talk about how their techniques effected lasting change and vastly improved their client’s quality of life. Nothing beats that!”

Terri Cuthill, Curriculum Director
Terri graduated from Alberta Massage Training in 2009 and became a teacher’s assistant in February 2010. She completed an online instructor course in November 2010. To add to her skills, Terri has taken a cranio sacral workshop, a jade stone workshop and standard first aid and level C CPR. Terri has also graduated from the Manual Osteopathic Therapy program at PCMT’s sister school, Manual Osteopathic College of Canada. Terri manages the PCMT curriculum as well as the online Learning Management System. The curriculum is consistently updated to match standards in regulated provinces. Terri enjoys helping others, whether it’s working out a client’s knots or helping a student learn the body.

Ashley Zwicker, Academic Director
As the Academic Director, Ashley bridges student welfare with educational leadership. She facilitates the connections between students, faculty, and home office to achieve the highest standard of academic excellence. Ashley is a graduate of PCMT’s sister school, Alberta College of Massage Therapy, and has worked with both the first and second year classes as Instructor and Teaching Assistant. She is a weekend instructor in Calgary and also manages the Calgary South campus. She continues to practice therapeutic massage with a focus on chronic pain management.

Kacia Mullings, Admissions Manager

As the Admissions Manager, Kacia manages the admissions team and processes of the organization to ensure strategic business success. Her warm and positive leadership style motivate and inspire her internal and external stakeholders. With over 15 years of recruiting and placement experience, she continues to provide world-class customer service and excels in relationship management to drive success for the organization.

Her vision and passion for the profession influenced Kacia to complete the ACMT Massage Therapy program. This empowered her to provide first-hand knowledge towards education management. Kacia has a passion and love for people and her greatest satisfaction is helping them to achieve their full potential. Outside of work she can be seen volunteering her time to make others happy.


Sarah Kidd, Admissions Officer
As a second-year admissions officer, Sarah helps students with all inquiries regarding the second-year Massage Therapy Diploma program. This includes ensuring that all student needs are met from the enrolment process through to graduation. Sarah completed an Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Management in Ontario before moving to Alberta 4 years ago to work with Catholic Social Services as a Volunteer Coordinator. She is a passionate professional who looks forward to supporting students throughout their journey of becoming an RMT! Outside the office, Sarah can most often be found spending time with her golden retriever, Winston, or rearranging the furniture in her house.

Megan Johnston, Operations and Policy Manager
As the Operations and Policy Manager, Megan is always ready to lend a helping hand to the student services department as well as ensuring that the internal daily operations are running efficiently and effectively. Megan brings a wealth of experience and a diverse skill set to our team. She graduated with a diploma as a Hearing Aid Practitioner from Grant MacEwan in 2002. After gaining a couple of years of experience in industrial hearing screening, Megan furthered her education at Grant MacEwan as an Audiometric Technician. Her passion for science, particularly anatomy and physiology, led her to pursue additional qualifications.

Mariana Povar, Student Finance Advisor

As the Student Financial Advisor, Mariana works together with the rest of the Student Services Team to offer support and insight regarding student finances. She has a Bachelor degree in economics with Major in Finance and Diploma in business Administration Management.

It is her goal to work with students and determine the best financial plans to fit each unique situation. Mariana has many years of experience working in the field of education and helping students to achieve their goals. In her free time, Mariana enjoys camping and traveling with her husband and two children.

 



Mitch Anderson, Clinic Manager
The Clinic Manager oversees all aspects of the Student Clinic experience, from day-to-day operations to student clinical objectives. Mitch’s dedication to healing and passion for education are what make him stand out. Recognizing the transformative potential of massage, Mitch has always eagerly seized the opportunity to inspire like-minded individuals looking to make the leap into this field.
